25 cm low-frequency driver and 250 W built-in amplifier for clean bass down to 20 Hz.

The Yamaha NS-SW300 subwoofer is an active model with a 25 cm low-frequency driver, a built-in amplifier with an output power of 250 W, and an operating range of 20–160 Hz. The enclosure measures 350 x 366 x 420 mm, and the power and volume controls are located on the front panel. It connects to a receiver or stereo amplifier and complements the front speakers in home theatre and music systems.

Twisted Flare Port for cleaner low-frequency sound

The enclosure port has a flared, slightly twisted shape that distributes airflow evenly and reduces turbulence noise. The bass remains clear and tight, both in movie effects and in concert recordings.

25 cm low-frequency driver

The driver is mounted facing forward, and the voice coil is wound with square-section wire — the denser winding raises magnetic density and increases the driving force on the diaphragm. The result is heard at deep frequencies, where the diaphragm moves the most air.

Advanced YST II and PWM digital amplifier

Yamaha's ANIC technology controls the driver's effective impedance during movement and keeps the diaphragm moving linearly. The amplifier uses PWM digital control and dual feedback — it operates without an output filter coil, with low noise and distortion and moderate heating.

Front controls at 45° and automatic standby mode

The power button and volume control are angled at 45° so they are easy to reach even when the subwoofer stands on the floor; the LED indicator above the button is visible even in a darkened room. The system connector switches the subwoofer on and off together with the amplifier, and without an input signal the unit enters standby with a power consumption of 0.3 W.
