Cleaning the espresso pot: The bottom part of the espresso machine (water tank) as well as the filter insert can be washed in the dishwasher, but washing by hand can extend the life of the espresso machine. Wash the top part with the handle and lid by hand.

The handle should not come into contact with an open flame or be exposed to similar intense heat. The anti-burn handle does not heat up during normal use.

Heating your espresso machine too quickly and to too high a temperature can cause darkening and discoloration. However, this is completely normal and happens with other similar espresso machines. For stubborn discoloration, a descaling agent and then a stainless steel cleaner can help restore your espresso machine's original shine after cleaning.
