MX‑7 is Arctic's latest thermal paste, developed over three years and positioned as their best formula yet. The main improvements are:

• Lower thermal resistance → better heat transfer
• Higher cohesion → the paste does not delaminate and does not dry out easily
• More viscous than MX‑6, but less than MX‑4
• Electrically non-conductive and non-capacitive → safe for CPUs, GPUs, laptops and consoles

Productivity

According to Arctic's internal tests:

• Up to 2.3°C cooler than MX‑6
• Up to 4.1°C cooler than MX‑4

Consistency and application

MX‑7 is a thick and viscous paste with a high percentage of fillers. This means:

• Not suitable for spreading with a spatula (Arctic prohibits it)
• It is applied in a cross-shaped method (X-pattern) and the cooler distributes it itself
• Low adhesion helps the paste spread evenly under pressure
