Application area

Tangit Uni-Lock Threaded Pipe Sealant is a general purpose threaded pipe sealant. It is used to seal threaded components (ISO 7-1) - for example, pipe joints and fittings with a conical/cylindrical
thread. Can be used for cold and hot water pipes (up to 130 °C) as well as gas pipes. The thread is particularly suitable for threaded connections requiring quick sealing after installation and
possible minor adjustments before use.
Metal threaded connections: maximum size 4".
Plastic threaded joints: maximum size
1.5".

Instructions for use

Preparing the pipe thread:

The threads of the metal connections should be cleaned with a brush if necessary. It is recommended to roughen the threads of the metal connections – for example with a hacksaw – before wrapping them with thread sealant.

Installing the thread sealant:
First place the thread across the thread and then wrap it in the direction of the thread (through the crosswise thread), starting from the end of the tube. The best result is achieved when the thread grooves are filled without covering the protruding parts. The thread can be cut with the cutter provided. The thread is wound on a spool inside the vial. Therefore, it can be easily pulled out and placed on the thread. The thread should be wrapped around the thread with a certain tension.
