Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game, while introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined plot, and vividly detailed graphics to turn this game into the newest survival horror where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.
6 years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City. Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the US President. With the experience of numerous missions under his belt, Leon is sent to rescue the kidnapped daughter of the president. He tracks her to a secluded European village where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers. And the curtain rises on this story of a daring rescue and exhausting horror.
- Resident Evil 4 Remake retains the essence of the original game, now remastered using Capcom's proprietary RE Engine to deliver realistic visual effects and additional narrative depth to this iconic story.
- The team behind 2019's Resident Evil 2 returns to refine the franchise's modern approach to the survival horror genre. Engage in fierce battles with the residents of Ganados, explore a European village gripped by madness, and solve puzzles to gain access to new areas and collect useful items to aid Leon and Ashley in their relentless struggle for survival.
- Face crowds of furious enemies that threaten to take down Leon, with even more diverse attack methods than in the original release.
- Years of intense training have taught Leon new ways to handle his knife, helping him even the odds against the relentless advance of his opponents. Execute precise movements to finish off vulnerable enemies, and even use the element of surprise to quietly eliminate unsuspecting opponents.
- Resident Evil 4 intensifies the feelings of loneliness and fear from the original release, brought on by fanatically blinded enemies, while providing more nuanced descriptions of the character motivations and relationships that defined the 2005 survival horror icon.
