Description

One of the few fresh vegetables in the garden in winter.

  • It contains many beneficial vitamins and minerals and adds a spicy flavor to fresh salad.
  • Sow the seeds in a seedling tray between March and May.
  • You can grow it at home or on the balcony.
  • With a pencil or shovel, make beds 5-6 cm apart and water in advance.
  • Sprinkle the seeds in the beds and cover with soil.
  • Make sure the soil does not dry out and thin the sprouted kale to 1 plant per 7-8 cm.
  • When the seedlings develop 5-6 leaves, transplant into larger pots on the balcony every 20-30 cm.
  • Regular watering will ensure you a quality harvest.
  • Remove the flower stalks to preserve the superior qualities of the leaves.
  • Enjoy the harvest from August to February, covering the leaves with horticultural foil during the coldest days.
