The semi-synthetic oil Motul 4100 POWER 15W-50 is developed using Technosynthese ® technology. It is specially designed for cars with powerful petrol or diesel engines, with turbo or direct injection. It can also be used with multivalve engines, with a catalytic converter, injectors or a carburettor. The lubricant is an ideal choice for all types of fuel: diesel, LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), or leaded/unleaded petrol, if you happen to come across it. Tube of 5 litres. Specifications: ACEA A3/B3; API SL/CF. Approvals: VW 501.01/505.00; MB-Approval 229.1. ACEA A3/B3 – lubricants with this specification meet some of the highest quality standards. They are intended for high-revving petrol or diesel engines in light vehicles. They are free-flowing and can be used at extended change intervals if specified by the engine manufacturer. API SL – specially developed for petrol cars manufactured between 2001 and 2003. API CF – intended for diesels manufactured after 1990, with turbochargers. VW 501.01 – suitable for some VW engines manufactured before 2000. This is an old specification for engine oils and is applicable only to engines manufactured before August 1999. After this date, the newer VW 502.00 specification is required. VW 505.00 – specification for engine oils for diesel engines with performance level CCMC PD-2. At SAE 15W-50 viscosity, it allows a maximum of 13% evaporation loss. This is an old specification for cars manufactured before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! MB-Approval 229.1 – this approval indicates that oils meeting it can be used in diesel and petrol engines manufactured in the years 1992 to 2002. The base requirements are higher than the ACEA A3/B3 specification. Specialists advise using them in cars manufactured after 2002, namely petrol M271, M275, M28, as well as diesel OM646, OM647 and OM648. Motul oils produced using Technosynthese® technology stand out for their high quality, and their properties come very close to those of mineral lubricants.
