Mapesil AC silicone sealant

Mapesil AC is a cross-linked acetic silicone sealant suitable for sealing glass, ceramic, and anodized aluminum.

Mapesil AC is used for:

• sealing expansion joints with an expansion of ± 25% of the initial size

• forming an ideally elastic gasket between various elements in construction, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, automotive industry, etc.

Mapesil AC is a one-component, solvent-free, cross-linked acetic silicone sealant available in colored or transparent versions. It is a thixotropic paste that is easy to apply with a trowel, both horizontally and vertically. It has the following properties:

• Excellent durability
• High elasticity
• Excellent adhesion to ceramic, glass, and anodized aluminum
• Mold resistant
• Waterproof and vapor-permeable
• Resistant to chemical substances
• Flexible down to -40°C and resistant to temperatures up to +180°C
• Easy to work with
