Description

Shelf speakers

JBL STAGE 250B Latte speakers, pair of shelf speakers (2-way, 130 mm woofer)

HDI waveguide and 130 mm woofer for full sound from a compact enclosure.

JBL Stage 250B Latte is a pair of 2-way shelf speakers with a 25 mm aluminium tweeter in an HDI waveguide and a 130 mm woofer with a polycellulose cone. They work as main speakers in a stereo system or as surround channels in a home theatre, with amplifiers and AV receivers rated from 20 to 150 W. The light wood Latte finish is combined with a magnetically attached grille.

130 mm woofer with ribbed polycellulose cone

The cone is made of cellulose pulp with additives, making it stiffer and able to hold its shape at high sound power, which keeps the bass controlled. The rear flared port (bass reflex) has an extended outlet so there is no noise from escaping air at loud low frequencies.

HDI waveguide for precise soundstage

The horn geometry around the 25 mm anodised aluminium tweeter maintains an even tonal balance off the central axis too — vocals and instruments stay in place when you listen from the side. JBL recommends turning the speakers 40 to 60 degrees towards the listening position.

Precise 2-way crossover at 1.7 kHz

The high-frequency section uses air-core coils and mylar capacitors, and the low-frequency section uses laminated-core coils and electrolytic capacitors. The components handle higher power and reduce distortion at loud listening levels.
