Folding knife Opinel Luxe - No. 9, oak

Sharp and delicate, the knife Opinel Luxe with an oak handle is a stylish choice for any pocket knife enthusiast. It has a thickness of 2.2 mm and ensures comfort while cutting, which makes it suitable for everyday use.

The stainless steel with a hardness of 55-57 HRC, used in the blades is a grade optimised to ensure both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance. The advantage of stainless steel is that it does not require special maintenance under normal conditions of use. However, it may reach its limits if it is left in prolonged contact with aggressive environments (acid, salt water, cleaning products, etc.).

The oak from which the handle is made is a hardwood, very durable, including against insects and fungi, thanks to its high tannin content. It has a yellow-brown appearance, with regular grain.

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from No. 6 upwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections - one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety in transport).

Features:

• Blade length: 9 cm;
• Blade material: Stainless steel 55-57 HRC;
• Handle material: Oak;
