Flax is an annual plant that needs rich, sandy, and well-drained soil to germinate.

Sow directly or through seedlings.

• Sow the seeds in early April in rows 10 cm apart and no more than 0.5 cm deep.
• Vegetation period 45 to 60 days and ripening period 30 to 40 days.
• The maturity cycle of flax is usually 90 to 125 days, but environmental conditions can change this.
• The plants are drought tolerant, so water moderately and weed regularly.
• Collect the seeds when the capsules/pods have turned brown and dried.
