Application area
►for sealing and bonding elements exposed to high temperatures;
►for sealing between metal parts;
►for seals in pumps and engines - oil-resistant;
►for sealing joints exposed to prolonged temperature effects (e.g. ovens and chimneys);
►for seals of heating and ventilation devices.

Preparing the base

The temperature of the silicone during application must be at least +20°C. It is recommended to grout at an ambient temperature between +5°C and +40°C. At temperatures lower than +5°C, sealing can be carried out if there is no condensation, snow or ice on the joint walls. The joint walls must be clean and dry. Oily surfaces must be cleaned with acetone or a cleaner. White spirit can be used to clean metal surfaces. If there is old sealant in the joint that could impair adhesion, it must be completely removed and the surfaces (joint walls) must be cleaned. Ceresit CS 28 adheres to most surfaces without priming. Priming is recommended for best adhesion (for metal, plastic, steel use a specialized primer).

Cut off the tip of the can and screw on the nozzle. The tip of the nozzle should be cut at an angle (about 45 degrees) depending on the width of the joint. Place the can in the silicone gun. Apply the material thickly into the joint. Special
Attention should be paid to adhesion to the joint edges. Smooth the sealant with a damp trowel or other suitable tool. Tools and soiled surfaces can be cleaned with white spirit before the material has fully cured.
but. Joint dimensions: minimum width 5 mm; maximum width 30 mm; minimum depth 2 mm; recommended ratio for joints with a width of 6-12 mm, filling depth 6 mm.
