Bardahl No. 2 - Oil Viscosity Improver Contains complex ester polymers that increase the viscosity and viscosity index of the oil. The product is compatible with: all types of oils - mineral, semi-synthetic, synthetic; all types of fuel - diesel, gasoline, gas; catalytic converters and particulate filters. Recommended for engines that have high oil consumption, smoking, or loss of compression, or for engines in heavy-duty conditions during the summer. The additive reduces oil consumption, crankcase ventilation, and smoking, restores cylinder compression, and better protects mechanical parts at high temperatures. The ester components contained in the product have a polarity opposite to that of metals, are attracted to bare metal surfaces, and adhere tightly, creating a thin but extremely strong film that reduces wear. Does not affect gaskets, seals, or the oil filter. The mixing ratio with oil is up to 1:10, added during an oil change to a warm engine.
