Powerful video analytics
The powerful processor in AXIS Q8641-E lets you add the strength of the widest range of video analytics solutions on the market to your surveillance setup. For example, video analytics applications from Axis and our partners help you respond quickly and appropriately to detected events by analysing them, automatically dismissing non-threats and immediately alerting security personnel to potentially critical situations. Your staff can then review sharp, detailed images to determine the exact nature of the threat, and act accordingly.

Fast and smooth
AXIS Q8641-E allows operators to choose between very slow or super-fast pan (from 0.05 to 120 degrees per second) and tilt (from 0.05 to 65 degrees per second). This gives them smooth panoramic viewing without jerks when needed, and lets them react quickly to events. The camera can be mounted on poles, columns or walls for a 360° panoramic view and a ground-to-sky view from -90° to 45°. It can withstand strong winds while in motion, at speeds of up to 47 metres per second (106 mph).

Far-reaching sharpness = accuracy
AXIS Q8641-E offers 384x288 thermal resolution for wide coverage and long range: in other words, one camera captures events taking place over a large area and at a great distance. In addition, thanks to the combination of dynamic histogram equalisation, enhanced local contrast and dynamic sharpening, AXIS Q8641-E improves image contrast for sharp video with high detail in all conditions. Electronic image stabilisation keeps the picture smooth even when the camera is exposed to vibration. The result is outstanding detection capabilities and quick, easy visual verification of the nature of detected events. You can dismiss them or take action, so false alarms are minimised.

Fast and easy
The slim design and many available accessories on AXIS Q8641-E let you install it wherever you want. It has an SFP slot, so it supports cost-effective optical connection over long distances. A 22-metre high-strength power cable is available as an optional accessory. The cable is designed for outdoor use, has 3 conductors, 12AWG and a sheath diameter of 10 mm (0.4 in).
