By 2060, Earth will become uninhabitable. The discovery of a ninth planet, Persephone, on the edge of the Solar System, is humanity's greatest hope. The European Space Agency sends the scientific mission Hope-01, consisting of two of its most experienced astronauts, Ariane and Thomas. Their mission: to explore the planet and determine whether humanity can thrive here again.
Your adventure begins in chaos, as the catastrophic landing of their ship scatters them across the planet, forcing them into a desperate mission to find each other.
Aphelion is a cinematic third-person action-adventure game set on the planet Persephone, an unexplored, frozen world. Lost and isolated, you must survive the truly unknown, find each other and complete the mission. Cross breathtaking alien landscapes, avoid lurking threats and uncover ghostly secrets buried under the ice.
Explore an unknown planet - Explore the surreal beauty of Persephone, a vast frozen world shaped by deadly climate conditions and constantly shifting terrain. Armed only with your exploration tools - a guidebook, oxygen tank, climbing hook and others - you must face the unknown, cross treacherous terrain and gather clues about the strange, reality-bending phenomenon that threatens your existence. Ariane must persevere and press on to save Thomas. She faces heart-stopping swings over dark chasms and difficult climbs up melting ice, risking her life with every step. Thomas, injured in the crash, must rely on ingenuity and observation, gathering pieces from the environment to survive.
Hide to survive - You are not alone. A hostile life form is hunting you. Avoid being noticed in tense, thrilling stealth sequences; use the environment to your advantage and stay one step ahead of what pursues you. Explore Persephone and complete the mission while trying to survive the terrifying presence of an unknown enemy.
Find each other - Stranded at the edge of the Solar System, the crew of Hope-01 confronts a brutal new world and the echoes of a complicated past. Ariane Montclair and Thomas Crossс share a deep bond that remains unresolved due to the demands of their careers and mission.
